How sessions work in Inverell

In person. Change Play runs outreach days in Inverell by arrangement. Rooms are hired privately for the day and the address is confirmed in your booking email.

Online. Secure video sessions run through the Change Play client portal — no separate app, no software to install. All you need is a phone or laptop and somewhere private. Online sessions cost exactly the same as in-person ones and run for the same full 60 minutes.

Booking. Create a free account, store a card securely with Stripe, and choose a time from live availability. Payment is taken automatically when the session starts and a tax invoice is emailed to you. Cancel with 48 hours’ notice and there is no fee.

Do you offer in-person counselling in Inverell?

How much does counselling cost in Inverell?

Counselling is $175 for a full 60-minute session, or $150 at the concession rate for eligible concession card and student ID holders. Coaching is $385 per 60-minute session, with 6- and 10-session packages available at a reduced per-session rate. All prices are in AUD and include GST. Travelling to Inverell costs you nothing extra — the fee is the same wherever the session happens.

How soon can I get an appointment?

Change Play is a private practice with no public waitlist, so appointments are usually available within days rather than months. You can see live availability and book yourself in through the client portal once you have created a free account.

Do I need a referral or a mental health care plan?

No. You can book directly with Change Play without a GP referral or a mental health care plan. Because Diane is a counsellor rather than a registered psychologist, sessions are not claimable through Medicare — some private health funds do provide a rebate for counselling, so it is worth checking your policy.

Will anyone in Inverell know I am seeing a counsellor?

No. Sessions are confidential and records are stored securely under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). In-person sessions always run in a private, closed room, and if Diane sees you in public she will not acknowledge you as a client unless you speak first.
